Heavy D's Death Hits Nicki Minaj, Usher, More Celebs

Hip-hop lost a rap icon when <a href="/news/articles/1674003/heavy-d-dead.jhtml">Heavy D died</a> Tuesday afternoon (November 8) at age 44, and the music industry is clearly mourning the loss. A string of stars, including <a href="/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a>, <a href="/music/artist/timbaland/artist.jhtml">Timbaland</a> and <a href="/music/artist/minaj__nicki/artist.jhtml">Nicki Minaj</a>, have shared their memories of the late MC on Twitter. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:709301.id:1674015" width="240" height="211"></div> Usher offered his sympathy to the family of the Jamaican-born rap heavyweight, <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/UsherRaymondIV/status/134038937709707264" target="_blank">tweeting</a>, "This is too heavy, I can't believe it. HEAVY D was just here. Truly gone too soon. My heart and support goes out to his family. R.I.P HEAVY." Mega-producer Timbaland couldn't even process the announcement, <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/Timbaland/status/134043158483959808" target="_blank">writing</a>, "I'm at a loss for words rip heavy d." After re-tweeting the late-MC's last <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/heavyd/status/133793313668071424" target="_blank">message</a> ("BE INSPIRED"), hip-hop's Harajuku Barbie also weighed in on the news. "We'll never forget you babe! #hiphopelite #RIPHeavyD," Nicki <a href="http://twitter.com/#!/NICKIMINAJ/status/134046872791810048" target="_blank">wrote</a>. DJ Drama and Nick Cannon reflected on the icon's impact. <a href="/music/artist/corgan_billy/artist.jhtml">Billy Corgan</a> may have admitted his <a href="/news/articles/1633267/billy-corgan-discusses-his-love-for-jessica-simpson.jhtml">love for Jessica Simpson</a> to Rolling Stone, but it seems he's also dishing to the magazine his distaste for <a href="/music/artist/mayer_john/artist.jhtml">John Mayer</a> after Mayer's controversial remarks about Simpson in Playboy magazine. "He's trying to destroy his career," Corgan told <a href="http://www.rollingstone.com/rockdaily/index.php/2010/03/11/billy-corgan-on-john-mayer-hes-trying-to-destroy-his-career/" target="_blank">Rolling Stone</a>. "Rather than take a year off or change his musical direction ... some part of it is irritating his soul to the point where he's trying to blow it up." Corgan further said of his fellow musician, "Certainly a talented guy, but empathetically, standing on the sidelines, it's hard to watch someone literally burn their career to the ground. Speaking as somebody who's done it." In the same interview, the Smashing Pumpkins founder revealed that he's got feelings for Simpson. The two recently collaborated on the theme song for Simpson's new VH1 reality show, "The Price of Beauty." "If I go, 'Oh, we're just friends,' then it's like, 'Did they go out, did he dump her or she dump him, what happened?' It has nothing to do with any of that. Sometimes people just like being around each other, and good things come out of that," he told the magazine about the nature of his relationship with Simpson. "My goal in life is to love whoever I think is worth loving, and I think if people knew her like I knew her, they would love her like I do. It's really simple." Simpson seems to be taking this all in stride. <a href="/news/articles/1633686/jessica-simpson-jokes-john-mayer-gave-away-my-game.jhtml">She laughed off Mayer's comments</a> when she appeared on "Late Night With David Letterman" on Wednesday night.

'Hunger Games' Soundtrack Lands Taylor Swift, Arcade Fire

The soundtrack to <a href="/news/articles/1674289/hunger-games-trailer-good-morning-america.jhtml">"The Hunger Games"</a>  will feature a bumper crop of new and unreleased songs by <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/swift__taylor/artist.jhtml" target="_blank">Taylor Swift</a>, the Arcade Fire and the Decemberists. The album will be produced by Grammy-winning producer T Bone Burnett and released before the movie hits theaters on March 23. Burnett and the group the Civil Wars got together to write an original tune for the CD with Swift, the first single, "Safe and Sound," which was released to iTunes on December 23. The tune shot to #1 on the iTunes singles list within 24 hours of release. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:682527" width="240" height="211"></div> Also serving up fresh tracks are the Arcade Fire, who collaborated with Burnett on "Horn of Plenty," and the Decemberists, who've offered up the original song "One Engine." The rest of the lineup has not been released, but according to a press release the soundtrack will feature all new songs based on themes that figure into the movie's storyline. Oscar-winning composer <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/person/78314/personmain.jhtml">Danny Elfman</a> recently exited the film, citing scheduling issues as he works to finish up the music for "Dark Shadows" and "Men in Black 3." He was replaced by James Newton Howard, who is responsible for dozens of famous scores, including "Batman Begins." Inspired by the best-selling young-adult novel by Suzanne Collins, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/movies/movie/422817/moviemain.jhtml">"The Hunger Games"</a> follows the path of 16-year-old Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence), who is chosen to compete in a vicious televised tournament in which 24 teenagers from a post-apocalyptic society fight to the death for the entertainment of the masses. The film also stars Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, as well as Woody Harrelson and <a href="/news/articles/1666888/hunger-games-lenny-kravitz.jhtml">rocker Lenny Kravitz.</a>  Lawrence will not only star in the movie, but she will also <a href="/news/articles/1669184/hunger-games-jennifer-lawrence-soundtrack.jhtml">lend her vocals</a>  to the soundtrack. Producer Burnett had high praise for her singing, telling MTV it was "beautiful. She did great. She's singing great. Killer actor too." Michael Jackson Doctor Can't Afford Lawyer For Appeal

Conrad Murray asks judge for a court-appointed attorney to appeal his involuntary manslaughter conviction.

Just weeks after being sent to jail for <a href="/news/articles/1675062/conrad-murray-sentence.jhtml">four years</a> following a conviction on a felony involuntary manslaughter charge in the death of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml" target="_blank">Michael Jackson</a>, cardiologist Conrad Murray is throwing himself on the mercy of the court. The doctor had been slated to earn up to $150,000 a month to act as Jackson's personal physician before the pop icon's death in June 2009 from an overdose of the Murray-administered surgical anesthetic propofol. But on Tuesday <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/conrad_murray_in_shackles_asks/280479" target="_blank">E! News</a> reported that Murray filed a <a href="/news/articles/1675343/conrad-murray-conviction-appeal.jhtml">notice of appeal</a> in Los Angeles Superior Court in which he claimed that he is "indigent and respectfully requests the appointment of counsel on appeal." Murray, 58, is planning to appeal both his conviction and his sentence, but has not yet filed papers with the California Appeals Court. He had hired two lawyers to handle his manslaughter case, but is now seeking attorneys with appeal experience. One of those former lawyers, J. Michael Flanagan, told E! that he was shocked at how his client is being treated in jail. "It is crazy and unbelievable how [the sheriffs] are treating" Murray in jail, said Flanagan, who claimed he waited over an hour to see Murray, who was brought out in handcuffs and leg chains. Flanagan was further shocked to see Murray handcuffed to the table for their meeting, something the lawyer said he'd never seen before in the case of a low-level, non-violent offender. Charles Peckham, who is handling civil cases against Murray, told the <a href="http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/doctor-convicted-in-michael-jacksons-death-seeking-court-paid-attorney-for-appeal/2011/12/13/gIQAHIYGsO_story.html" target="_blank">Associated Press</a> that his client is under tight security and isolation that is more intense than other inmates at the Los Angeles Men's Central Jail. "Treating him like Hannibal Lecter is offensive," said Peckham. "This man who saved lives made a mistake, and they're going to [make] him pay like a mass-murderer." Sheriff's officials defended the tight security, saying it was for Murray's safety.

Michael Jackson Doctor Conrad Murray Files Appeal

Murray will represent himself as he contests involuntary manslaughter conviction for which he faces up to four years in state prison.

As expected, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml">Michael Jackson</a>'s former doctor <a href="/news/articles/1673957/conrad-murray-appeal-verdict-michael-jackson.jhtml">Conrad Murray has filed an appeal</a> to challenge his involuntary manslaughter conviction. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:708788.id:1673923" width="240" height="211"></div> According to <a href="http://www.tmz.com/2011/12/02/conrad-murray-files-appeal-involuntary-manslaughter" target="_blank">TMZ</a>, Murray filed the petition in pro per, which means he has decided to forego hiring legal representation and represent himself. He reportedly listed "Men's Central Jail" and his booking number in the space on the appeal document where a lawyer would normally list a firm's name or contact information. TMZ also reported that although Murray seems to be without a lawyer, he is still in communication with Nareg Gourjian, one of the attorneys who represented him during his manslaughter trial. "This case presents a gold mine of issues for any appellate lawyer," Gourjian told TMZ. "Dr. Murray is confident that the Court of Appeal will vindicate him." Following the guilty verdict, Murray's lead defense lawyer Ed Chernoff told CNN, "What matters most right now is trying to keep Dr. Murray from taking up a prison cell in this community. That's what we're focusing on right now, and we'll deal with an appeal after that." <a href="/news/articles/1675062/conrad-murray-sentence.jhtml">Murray was sentenced to four years</a> in jail Tuesday, but due to overcrowding, he's unlikely to serve his full term.

Drake Compares Rick Ross' Next LP To B.I.G., Snoop

LOS ANGELES — Trying to determine something as subjective as what constitutes a hip-hop classic is an impossible task, but there are a few albums that are widely recognized crown-holders. Among them are the <a href="/music/artist/notorious_big/artist.jhtml">Notorious B.I.G.</a>'s Ready to Die and <a href="/music/artist/snoop_dogg/artist.jhtml">Snoop Dogg</a>'s Doggystyle, and it is in this same regard that <a href="/music/artist/drake/artist.jhtml">Drake</a> holds <a href="/music/artist/ross__rick__rap_/artist.jhtml">Rick Ross</a>' upcoming fifth album. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:687331" width="240" height="211"></div> "This guy right here," Drake said motioning to Ross as the two sat at <a href="/news/articles/1669955/lil-wayne-vmas-carter-iv-release.jhtml">Lil Wayne's Tha Carter IV release party</a> Sunday, "That God Forgives I Don't; the only way I can describe it is like Doggystyle or Ready to Die or Clipse Lord Willin' or any of the albums that I collected and held on to as a kid — whether it was cassette or CD." Drake's measure may not be an objective one, but it isn't farfetched, considering that many have credited Ross with improving as an artist with each album he puts out. As of now, the album is still being recorded and only a select few have been able to hear it. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:674841" width="240" height="211"></div> <a href="/news/articles/1667613/rick-ross-dj-khaled-god-forgives-i-dont.jhtml">DJ Khaled also sang Rozay's praises</a> when MTV News interviewed him back in July. "God Forgives I Don't is a classic-in-the-making. Let me tell you something right now: This album is so crazy from the beginning of what I've been in the studio hearing already," he said. "I can't give you too much because I'm going to let him do that, because that's his project, but I could tell you right now it's classic and he is talking that talk." The Bawse isn't the only one with an album dropping soon. On October 24, Drake plans to release his sophomore LP, but the Bawse has already gotten a sneak peek. "I feel extremely grateful to hear a bulk of Take Care. Just to hear this man's tone of voice and the sh-- that he's saying is just so visual," Ross said. "And if you're a true Drake fan — if you love his first album, this one right here, this sh-- is uncut."

Will Adele Perform At The Grammy Awards?

Singer is rumored to be opening the show, where she's up for six awards.

<a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/adele/artist.jhtml">Adele</a> has been lying low since a <a href="/news/articles/1673944/adele-throat-surgery-recovery.jhtml">vocal surgery in November</a>, but now it seems she could be poised to hit up the <a href="http://www.mtv.com/news/grammys/">Grammy Awards</a> next month. According to <a href="http://www.radaronline.com/exclusives/2012/01/adele-grammys-2012-attending-performing" target="_blank">Radaronline.com</a>, the six-time nominee is in talks to perform at the show. "Adele will be at the Grammys in Los Angeles on February 12 at the Staples Center," a source told the website. "She's thrilled to be nominated," but it's been a hard time for her because of the surgery. She has begun talking more, with her doctor's permission. Adele's best friend in recent weeks has been warm compresses around her neck to help the healing process of her vocal chords." Adele, who keeps topping the charts nearly a year after dropping her album 21, is just waiting it out until she knows for sure that she can be at her best for the broadcast. "Producers of the Grammys would love to have Adele perform and open the show, but she isn't able to give them an answer yet," the source added. "She won't be able to give them an answer until the beginning of February, and they completely understand." The singer took home two Grammys in 2009. Shortly after her surgery last year, she released a statement to fans: "Sorry I haven't written for a while. Thank you for all your positive thoughts and get well wishes," <a href="/news/articles/1674453/adele-throat-surgery-recovery.jhtml">Adele wrote</a>. "I'm doing really well, on the mend, super happy, relaxed and very positive with it all. The operation was a success, and I'm just chilling out now until I get the all clear from my doctors." Adele is still riding high off the release of 21, spawning several inescapable singles including the ubiquitous "Rolling in the Deep," which topped MTV's list as <a href="/news/articles/1675976/adele-rolling-in-the-deep-best-song-2011.jhtml">Song of the Year for 2011</a>. Lady Gaga Is Forbes' Top-Earning Woman In Music

Apparently, <a href="/music/artist/lady_gaga/artist.jhtml">Lady Gaga</a> made a little bit of money this year: She tops <a href="http://www.forbes.com/sites/zackomalleygreenburg/2011/12/14/the-top-earning-women-in-music-lady-gaga-taylor-swift-katy-parry-alicia-keys/" target="_blank">Forbes</a>' list of Top-Earning Women in Music in 2011. Just how much did Gaga make this past year? According to the magazine, the singer netted $90 million thanks to sales of Born This Way, her massive Monster Ball Tour and a number of endorsement deals. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:718490" width="240" height="211"></div> But she's not the only lady making bank this year. Coming in at #2 is <a href="/music/artist/swift__taylor/artist.jhtml">Taylor Swift</a>. The country/pop superstar managed to make $45 million over the past 12 months with the never-ending success of her Speak Now album (which she released back in 2010) and her tour of the same name. Nipping at her heels is <a href="/music/artist/perry_katy/artist.jhtml">Katy Perry</a>. The <a href="/news/articles/1675970/katy-perry-one-that-got-away-record.jhtml">Billboard record-holder</a> amassed $44 million with continued singles from 2010's Teenage Dream and her California Dreams Tour. Perhaps the biggest surprise in the top five is <a href="/music/artist/dion_celine/artist.jhtml">Celine Dion</a>. The Canadian singer comes in at #4 with $19 million in earnings. The singer's success is due in part to her Las Vegas stage show. <a href="/music/artist/adele/artist.jhtml">Adele</a> squeaked into the top five at #5 with $18 million, earned mostly from the album sales from her chart-dominating 21. Alicia Keys also makes the list; Forbes reports that the singer earned $10 million, beating out her hubby Swizz Beatz for the year by $3.5 million. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:702275" width="240" height="211"></div> Forbes compiled the list using income earned from May 2010 through May 2011. It also used data from Pollstar and RIAA, as well as interviews with industry insiders and the musicians themselves. Many of the ladies on this list also landed on MTV's <a href="/news/articles/1675921/best-songs-2011.jhtml">Songs of the Year</a> countdown; Gaga's "Born This Way" comes in at #5 and Perry's "Firework" sits at #10. 'Kourtney & Kim Take New York': Best And Worst Moments

MTV News picks the 'pits' and the 'peaks' from season two.

The season finale of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York" aired Sunday night, and even though we did not see Kim and Kris Humphries end their marriage, all signs were pointing to divorce.

During the final moments of the episode, viewers witnessed a Kardashian family tradition where they revealed their "pits" and "peaks" of their time in the Big Apple, so we here at MTV News figured we would do the same for this season of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York."

Pit: Kim and Kris talk babies
Kim and Kris have the baby talk. After contemplating whether they are ready to have kids, the question comes up of where they would raise their bundle of joy, and according to Kim, it's not Minnesota. Kim reveals that she will never move to Kris' home state to raise a family, to which Kris replies that no one will care about Kim by the time she has kids. Ouch.

Peak: Kourtney and Khloé prank Kris
Kourtney and Khloé decide that the best way to get to know their new brother-in-law is to prank him. The partners in crime decorated Kris' room with toilet paper, but when Kris' reaction isn't satisfying for the sisters, they decide to take their prank to a whole new level: a snake on his bed.

Kim and Kourtney decide to have a sisters' weekend getaway in Mystic, Connecticut, leaving both Kris and Kourtney's boyfriend, Scott Disick, at home. Not a good idea. Kris decides to head to Toronto for a club appearance and decides to bring Scott along. But he forgot one thing: to tell his wife he was heading out of the country. Kim finds out on Twitter that her husband has jetted off to Canada, and when he's confronted, he says, "Stop stalking me on Twitter!" Probably not the best response, Kris.

Peak: Scott Disick
By far the star of this season is Kourtney's boyfriend, Scott Disick. The onetime bad boy has made a complete transformation turning into a loving boyfriend, a doting father and even a pianist! With another baby on the way for Kourtney and Scott, it seems like things couldn't be better for this happy couple.

Pit: Kim's Fairy Tale Comes to an End
In the much anticipated season finale, Kim has finally reached her breaking point. With Kourtney and Scott by her side, she revealed that her marriage was over. "You don't think I feel embarrassed that I fell in love and I really thought I was and then like I look back now and it's not what I want?" she cried. "I fell in love with a guy and, like, it's not what I thought it would be. Everyone sees I'm a different person. I'm such a bitch. Like, I'm just not myself and I'm not happy and it happened way too fast. I didn't know." Kim elected not to air the actual conversation of their marriage ending, saying that she wanted to handle this issue privately, but from the looks of it, it seemed as if this decision was inevitable.

Avril Lavigne Talks Ex-Husband, Life Lessons

This week, Avril Lavigne released her new album, <a href="/news/articles/1659477/avril-lavigne-goodbye-lullaby-max-martin.jhtml">Goodbye Lullaby</a>, an emotionally charged record that will leave some fans wondering just who she is singing about. With a highly publicized divorce from Sum 41 singer Deryck Whibley and equally highly publicized romance with "Hills" star Brody Jenner, Lavigne says that she doesn't really care if fans are trying to decode her songs. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:629923.id:1659476" width="240" height="211"></div> "At this point, because I've been doing this for 10 years, I've kind of learned ... my life lesson has been about not worrying about people and what they think," she told MTV News. "Obviously I care. I want people to like my music and stuff. I've had to learn to really focus on myself: who I am, what I want ... You don't want to have distractions, especially when you're being creative." Lavigne's ex-husband Whibley worked on many of the album's tracks. And considering how well the former spouses get along, the spunky pop star doesn't seem bothered by public speculation about her personal life. "I respect Deryck so much as an artist, and he produced several songs on this record," she explained. "I mean, he's in a really cool band, he's a writer and he's a rocker." Whibley's skills and the duo's easygoing nature are what helped make magic happen in the studio. "He's a musician. He does it all, and to have him come on this album and produce and mix, it's like he's so talented, I was really happy to have him produce on this record," she added. "He did a really amazing job. We're great friends and I'm grateful for the relationship."

Justin Bieber isn't new to creating holiday songs using his new-millennium, R&B swagger, as evidenced on his Christmas album, <a href="/news/articles/1671983/justin-bieber-christmas-album-under-the-mistletoe.jhtml">Under The Mistletoe</a>. And this weekend, he gave New Year's a try. The singer <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/justinbieber/status/153329259757318145" target="_blank">tweeted</a> a New Year's-themed track, "Happy New Year," which features his pal Jaden Smith rapping. <div class="player-placeholder right" id="vid:702340.id:1672718" width="240" height="211"></div> The slow jam is certainly swaggerfied but also reflective, featuring lyrics that both play up the singer's pop-star image and look ahead to a more hopeful year. "I'm gonna make your cheeks red when I kiss your neck/Girl I'm never leavin' 'cause you are the best baby," he sings. "I wanna give you everything/Never feel 'cause girl you're coming home with me." In a spoken breakdown, he says, "2012 is the year to be better, stronger and closer to the people around you. So grab someone special, and just, you know." Smith also shows some bad-boy personality and proves that rapping runs in the Smith DNA. He raps, " 'Cause 2012 is the year of the love/And we gon' start it off/We can get a plane today and get a car toma'/We don't do it small at all/No girl tell me what I gotta to do/I can be the beat that you rockin' to/I can do anything, nothing is impossible, especially with you girl/And I never need a new girl/This love is true girl/Aye welcome to the crew girl." Not only was Bieber gracing fans with new tracks over the weekend, but he also took the stage during "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve 2012" in Times Square, not far from where his lady love Selena Gomez was <a href="/news/articles/1676633/new-year-selena-gomez-mac-miller.jhtml">hosting "NYE in NYC 2012."</a> The twosome later partied together at Glass House, <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/marc_malkin/justin_bieber_selena_gomezs_late_night/283450" target="_blank">E! News</a> reports. A source says, "He...danced with Selena, showing off, picking her up and swinging her around like it was 'Dancing With the Stars.' Katy Perry Debuts Light-Blue Locks In Vegas

Katy Perry is feeling a little less blue these days. The pop star began rocking an electric-blue bob not long after news broke that husband Russell Brand had filed for divorce late last year. But Perry, who stepped out in Las Vegas this weekend, appears to have dipped her locks in the dye once again.

On Friday night, KP hit a charity event dressed in a beaded frock, her razor-cut 'do colored in a rich turquoise. The party at the Vegas outpost of nightspot 1OAK was hosted by GiveLove.org, an organization devoted to improving public health in Haiti.

But although newly separated Perry reportedly put on a good face, one source told amNewYork the "Waking Up in Vegas" singer seemed "subdued." The pop star "pretty much sat in the same spot the whole night" as her friends danced, according to the source.

While Katy has always been adventurous about her hair hues, post-split, she seems, anecdotally at least, to be hitting the bottle — of dye — with increasing frequency.

Brand and Perry announced the end of their marriage on December 30, after 14 months together. The exes have been a keeping a rather low profile ever since. The comic is set to perform on March 4 at New York's Radio City Music Hall as part of an Amnesty International benefit, while Perry may turn up next at the Grammy awards on February 12, where she's up for two statues. She was spotted earlier this month shooting an Adidas ad, not long after wrapping two concert dates in Indonesia and the Philippines.

Rev Run's Son Jojo Arrested For Marijuana Possession

You probably didn't want to be at <MTVNLINK type="url" id="/ontv/dyn/runs_house_season_05/series.jhtml">"Run's House"</MTVNLINK> on Saturday morning. That's because on Friday night, Joseph Simmons Jr., 19, known to millions as "Jojo," was arrested on Manhattan's Upper West Side after allegedly buying marijuana and trying to run away from the cops, according to a spokesperson for the New York Police Department. After being spotted by police allegedly purchasing marijuana and then rolling it into a joint, the aspiring rapper attempted to evade arrest by throwing his BMW in reverse, almost backing into a police cruiser. The younger Simmons, who is the leader of a rap crew called Team Blackout, struggled with police attempting to apprehend him. The NYPD spokesperson said Simmons was booked on a felony charge of attempted reckless endangerment (for backing into the police car), two misdemeanor charges of criminal use of drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest and a violation for marijuana possession. Reverend Run, Simmons' father and the legendary co-founder of of <a href="/news/articles/1608562/metallica-run-dmc-join-legends-in-hall-of-fame.jhtml">Rock and Roll Hall of Fame trio</a> Run-DMC, called MTV News on Monday morning (May 11) with an exclusive comment on the incident. "I didn't always have this collar around my neck," Run explained. "I come from a rap, rock and roll background. Jojo is all right. It's working itself out. We're pulling together as a family going forward. You live and learn." Run also said his son was released without bail on Saturday. The younger Simmons could not be reached for comment at press time, but <a href="http://twitter.com/YoungSimmons" target="_blank">he Tweeted</a> around 3:55 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, "I'm alright everybody!" His <a href="http://twitter.com/RevRunWisdom" target="_blank">dad Tweeted</a> early Saturday morning, "you can learn many things from your Children ... (Patience for instance)." New York's <a href="http://www.nydailynews.com/gossip/2009/05/10/2009-05-10_rappers_son_springs_joint_after_pot_bust.html" target="_blank">Daily News</a> reported on Sunday that Simmons was released on his own recognizance after a Manhattan judge dismissed the felony charge of attempted reckless endangerment.
